Quick Scallions and Eggs (and a new dog!)

No really, guess what.



Oooooh my goodness he’s adorable.

They said he was 4 years old, but… he can’t keep up with jogging. So he’s probably around… 7?

We decided to call him Toffee, because, you know, food is always on our minds.

Right now, he’s basically passed out. He won’t take a poo, but maybe because it’s his first day here.

We shall see how it goes.


With a new pet, we focused more of our energy on the dog, and probably a little less on cooking. We need something quick and yummy and quite nutritious. And that’s where… eggs come in.

Mmmmm… if it’s one thing my dad can cook (and this is probably one of the only things he can cook)… it’s eggs. And I’d happily eat them for the rest of my life.

I used to hate eating egg yolk. I thought it was gummy and the texture was odd, and it was just gross. But then I started eating it with a runny yolk and ever since then, I thought eggs were one of the best foods in the whole world.

I present to you: Scallions and Eggs.

Quick Scallions and Eggs

(serves 2-4)


  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup scallions (or green onions), chopped finely
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • pinch of sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil


  1. Beat eggs, then beat in the rest of the ingredients.
  2. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add the egg mixture, then stir around slowly until cooked until desired doneness.
  3. Sprinkle on extra scallions; serve hot.
