Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel Rods

Christmas is just around the corner! It’s time for giving, celebrating, and remembering. It’s crazy, watching people shopping for gifts. They don’t really look happy at all. I think they see it more as an obligation than a present from the heart. They just need to sit down and take a breather, have a cup of coffee, and just think.

One way to counter the scramble is to make a homemade gift. Even better yet, an edible gift. Because honestly, people love to eat, yes? And the end of the year is the best time to indulge (;

These are really simple. AND they look stunning in the right box/wrapping paper/ sprinkles. Plus they’re tasty.

This is going to be a three part Christmas gift collection. I’m going to be showing you how to make three different Christmas treats: chocolate-dipped pretzel rods, peppermint chocolate bark, and mint chocolate cookies. They’re all very, very good. Enjoy!

Chocolate-dipped Pretzel Rods

Ingredients:

  • pretzel rods
  • chocolate
  • toppings: nuts, sprinkles, crushed peppermint, etc.

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. In a double boiler, melt your chocolate.
  2. Dip your pretzel rods into the chocolate, then sprinkle with your toppings.
  3. Place onto the wax paper. Place the baking sheet into the fridge or on the countertop until chocolate hardens, about 30 minutes.
